When you are a Body Shop addict you overconsume, this is my case I admit it. And you become reckless investing in products that aren’t necessary so good. This is the case of the lip butter for me and most of my girlfriends (I did a quick ask-around at our latest get-together). You want it to be just as good as the body butter, but it just doesn’t live up to the hight standards set by the it and by the price.
This lip butter smells great, it doesn’t really taste of anything but a bit of sweetness. It turns your lips yellow when you apply too much and it doesn’t really help dry and cracked lips. In fact Ive actually experienced that at times it made them even more dry. But hey, at least a package lasts for long. One last thing, I don’t want to sound old, but sticking your fingers into the same small container is just unhygienic.

I’ve had that happen with my lip balms and things of that sort. I always wonder to myself if they’re all that way. I ended up finding one that really stays a lot better than the others. Did this one have petroleum in it?

No problem. I the beauty talk. I still enjoy H20Plus’s ‘Lip Mender.’ The color of the formula changed from what it used to be. So I’m not sure what about the formula, specifically, changed. I still enjoy it though! Also, Bite Beauty Lip Mask is very good. The tube will very likely slit by the end of the tube. I know they have a very new colored lip mask. Let me know what you think if you try it. Last but not least, Fresh has a nice lip products. I hope this helps. I talked about my burning lips in my Valentine’s Day YouTube video. Ouch! Yeah all the Body Shop lip butters are a fail for me too. I bought this one and the Shea due to the scents but performance-wise, they left a LOT to be desired. Yet, I’m still tempted to try out the other flavours from time to time when I’m at the store… because they look like mini version of the body lip butter (and those are generally great)… but yeah fooled me twice already!

Yes same here, have it in grapefruit and passionfruit too….;) the passionfruit is actually pretty ok because its more creamy:)

I’m so glad to see someone else agree about these lip butters! So many bloggers say nothing but praises but I always think they just aren’t as moisturizing as advertised. I think the cocoa butter lip care sticks from Body Shop are infinitely better than the lip butters.
