Clinique All About Eyes Cream Review

clinique_all-about-eyes-pt5oz__80386-1510950813

Pros:

Helps my puff out of my puffy eyes in the morning.

Cons:

Doesn‘t remove dark circles under my eyes as promised.

More:

I think its very tricky to review an eye cream – after all you can only tell if it did it‘s magic when you are a zillion years – just like with the rest of the creams promising to make your wrinkles disappear and your face to stay youthfully smooth forever. But what I usually look for is reduction of puffiness and dark circles. If it gets absorbed quickly its a plus.

I have extremely puffy eyes in the morning – and this eye cream does the trick. Though I’m not sure if it’s just placebo cause I rub my eyes so much – but I chose to believe it. It doesn’t remove dark circles as promised. You use up the cream quickly since you use your fingers to apply it – and always manage to use too much. It gets absorbed quick which is a big plus.

Sephora Rouge Lip Tint (09 Ruby) Review

sephora-collection-rouge-lip-tint-01-rose-tube

Pros:

Lasts for a good 12 hours.

Cons:

Makes your lips dry.

More:

This is the most amazing matte long-lasting lipstick you will ever find. But you need to apply it twice, and you can’t have a shaky hand – cause you can’t remove it once you have applied it.This has lead to me locking a bit like a clown those times when I have applied it drunk in bad lightening. You remove it with loads of scrubbing. It’s pretty cheap and you need little per use. It makes my lips dry and if you apply chapstick it will make some of the lipstick rub off. It seriously lasts a good 12 hours when you can eat and drink and not think of re-applying it.

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup Review

images (1)

Pros:

Can apply it without a mirror and people won’t be able to tell you have make-up on.

Cons:

The bottle is not very functional

More:

This is a very light foundation – I use it when I don’t want to have a heavy make-up look but still want to hide the dark circles under my eyes or hyper pigmentation. The big con is that it’s hard to apply – it’s just a bottle: you can’t squeeze it and there is no application tool. So when the bottle is half empty you kind of have to shake it out like an old Heinz ketchup. This procedure is so annoying – especially in the morning when you just want to get on with it.The foundation blends in super well and one can’t really tell that you are wearing foundation – so super natural look – big plus.

Sephora Easy Smokey Eye Review

s1837301-main-zoom

Pros:

You don’t need much to make a smokey eye.

Cons:

Cons.

More:

Honestly I hate this one. It brush is very clumsy and you look like you’re a teenager who applied make-up for the first time. I had this vision of myself looking all Cat lady – did not happen – it was more of a Halloween situation. We all know that making a smokey eye is an art – and this clumsy chubby stick does not invite for elegance. The brush is shit – it smudges everywhere, pays no attention to detail – if you want to look stupid – this is a product for you. It also smudges really badly.

Nars Orgasm Blush Review

nars-orgasm-blush-607845051947-front_1024x1024

Pros:

Gives an amazing shimmering glow.

Cons:

This blush gives no color only shimmer.

More:

This blush has a cult status and though it has been reviewed many many times we still think it deserves a mention in here too. We are crazy about this blush. It melts into the skin due to its light texture – so you apply it in infinite amount without overdoing it aka you will never look like you applied your make-up in the dark when using this blush. It gives more of a shimmer rather then color. So if you want color its not for you. The shimmer looks natural and I’ve gotten so many compliments when wearing it.

The package has a big built in mirror (taking up the whole inner lid) which you can actually use – usually those mirrors are useless. Though I feel like you can almost not go wrong when applying it.

Redken Extreme CAT Protein Treatment Review

10305417-1484302098789835

Pros:

Doesn‘t smell bad.

Cons:

Does nothing for my hair.

More:

I have really coarse, curly and dry hair that I flat-iron weekly and therefore needs all the love in the world. I was pursued to by this product from a hairdresser to get a stronger, healthier and more wear-resistant hair but I can’t notice any difference on my hair. At all. It promises to reconstruct and recondition my hair – and to add weight immediately – nothing of that happened. I would not recommend buying this product unless you like to play the lottery – or just have some money you want to waste – literally.

Estee Lauder DayWear Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Sheer Tint Release Moisturizer Review

493041

Pros:

Evens out my skin tone.

Cons:

You need a lot per use.

More:

I chose this tinted moisturiser after trying out a few others as samples…so this one is my chosen one (and it sure is not expensive). First and foremost, you need a lot per use. I use this moisturiser as a light version of a foundation, layering it on top of my day cream. It gives my skin a very nice and even tone. I have rosacea (mild) and it doesn‘t even out the redness on my face. Neither do I see that my skin gets more glow or radiance after the use of this moisturiser. So overall this is an expensive cream, that evens out your skin tone but doesn‘t give much hydration and since you need a lot per use its not cost-per-use efficient at all.

Dior Diorskin Forever Compact Review

item_XL_10117574_12512437

Pros:

No need for touch-ups throughout the day.

Cons:

Expensive.

More:

This the oily acne skin girl sharing with you again (see my previous reviews here and here). First and foremost, the colours in this palette (010 Im fair skinned) has a yellow beige tone rather then pink which makes ones skin look more natural when using the powder. This is the only powder which stays on  during the whole day without need for touch-ups. It promises shine reduction and a matte finish – and it really keeps it promise. It really absorbs oil from my face. The negatives – expensive and you can buy it refill – but is hard to get your hands on.

Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil Review

10553725-1403023008-821057

Pros:

The price is decent.

Cons:

Very sticky and no real effect.

More:

This oil is completely useless. You are supposed to use it on your cuticles and nails to make them stronger (and prettier hihi) but it is very liquid and sticky, and doesn‘t really stay on your nails. I don‘t know when you are supposed to use it (in your sleep when you don‘t move at all?) – because when I have used it my clothes, hands and face got covered in oil, stinking of apricot. Naturally I didn‘t really notice any effect – as a longtime nail bitting individual I had high hopes for this oil and got very disappointed. The only plus is that the price is decent.
