Alterna Caviar CC Cream Review

10850175-1364444948821273

Pros:

Smells very nice

Cons:

Makes my hair look greasy when applied to dry hair.

More:

This cc cream promises your hair everything in the world (moisture, shine, softness, UV protection, strength…and 5 more things since its a 10 in one..). I have classic thin Scandinavian hair…so I constantly dream of some va-va-voom feeling..therefore I had very high hopes. First time I used it on towel dry hair and when used in combination with other volume products, I could see more shiny and looked more sleak and my split ends were less visible. Other times when I have used it on dry and not newly washed hair I just got the result of greasy hair and felt pretty disappointed.

Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Intense Oil Creme Pre-Shampoo Treatment Review

alterna-caviar-moisture-intense-oil-creme-pre-treatment

Pros:

Makes my hair much more silky.

Cons:

The price.

More:

My beauty conclusion of 2016 is that my hair has definitely been the part of my body which I have been investing on most – beauty wise (brain wins in the category everything else – at least I like to think so while reading that stupid gossip mag..). This hair treatment is used pre-shampoo to give the shampoo and conditioner the chance of an “optimal” performance and its promised that this treatment will “leave your strands soft and smooth”. Verdict: I can certainly feel a difference in my hair becoming much more silky after 10 minutes of use, and it also makes my hair more smooth after wash. Minus – expensive product and I think I still prefer my oils to this pre-hair treatment if I have to choose one smoothness booster for my hair.

Alterna Caviar INTENSE OIL CRÈME SHAMPOO and Deep Conditioner Review

1

Pros:

I can go a week without washing my hair when using this duo.

Cons:

I still need to use my oils to make my hair soft.

More:

I have mixed feeling about this duo – being a huge fan of expensive but “oh soo effective” Alterna I had huge expectations. First and foremost this shampoo and conditioner smell great, they are a bit hard to wash out and lather well. What about the result? Well when using these two I can go for 1 week without washing my hair and it still looks great on the last days. It‘s not very easy to detangle and I don‘t feel that extra moisture which is promised – leaving me a bit disappointed.

Alterna Bamboo Anti-Frizz PM Overnight Smoothing Treatment Review

Pros:

Makes my hair much softer.

Cons:

Takes a while (10 minutes for me) to wash out of my hair.

More:

Those who follow this blog know that this autumn has really been a struggle for my hair: it‘s soo dry I‘ve wanted to chop it off quit a few times, and despite using tons of products and getting a new hair cut I still don‘t feel that wow sensation (probably cause I‘ve been using shampoo that just didn‘t do it for me for the past 2 months, review coming up shortly) but also because at this time of the year everything becomes dry and tired: my hair, skin, cuticles, eyes …But this hair mask has really helped me out: it‘s an overnight treatment, so you have to have plan when using it on beforehand (so you don‘t run to work wearing it in the morning), since it takes a while to wash out. It gets absorbed very fast so you don‘t feel like you are walking around with products in your hair in the evening and the result was very pleasing: my hair feels much softer and looks more glossy and alive, so I‘m happy and with a little help from some old friends  I feel my hair is getting back into the game (and thank god for that cause walking around with hair that looks like a dry wig really is a self-esteem killer).

ALTERNA CAVIAR REPAIR MICRO-BEAD FILL & FIX TREATMENT MASQUE REVIEW

Pros:

Makes my hair very soft.

Cons:

The price (is pretty crazy).

More:

This mask has a very creamy texture, it is almost like putting pudding in your hair (but in a nice comfortable way – not the weird “I like food on my body” way). Using it, is supposed to give one more shiny and soft hair, which it does. You are supposed to leave it on for 3 minutes, and sometimes I stretch it to 10, but usually the result is pretty much the same. It doesn‘t help your hair to gain volume or a certain (un-troll-like) shape, and if your ends are very dry you will need some extra oil or leave-in love, therefore it is not fully worth its price.

The best and worst beauty products of 2015 – the complete list

Happy new year lovelies, we have made a small list of what we liked and disliked this year:

Best budget product ever.

Best hair leave in treatment.

The DIY of the all.

The hair mask that changed our hair game.

The splurge of the year.

Best thing for your eyes (hey sexy cat eyes).

The oil that doesn‘t kill sensitive skin.

Best foundation to hide our pimples.

Algeas became our new favourite put-in-my-face thing, how random and awkward, but great result.

The body lotion of the body lotions that has been nourishing and loving to our winter skin.

And WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE:

Let this one stay away from your lashes.

This serum can stay where it belongs – far away from our face.

The body butter that left us wondering what the hell.

Our hands cried of anger after this one ( This one was pretty bad too though).

The splurge we regretted.

The concealer we will never repurchase.

Our lips were so mad with us after we used this one.

Thank you for a great 2015 and we are looking forward to guide you through another exciting year!

Review of Alterna Bamboo Kendi Intense Moisture Masque

Pros:

Makes my hair more smooth and definitely less frizzy.

Cons:

Not much shine is noticed after using this masque.

More:

This is a good masque for my long crazy hair, it makes it easier to handle and smoother. At the same time it also eliminates some of that frizz that dry hair loves to display. Though I do not see it become shinier in any way, but then again, this summer has been rough on my hair and me, we really havent gotten along…we are still recovering from the stormy past months (seriously NOTHING helped my hair, no oil, coconut oil or expensive hair products could help it out of that depressing dryness..so eventually I had to get a radical hair cut). As a conclusion I can say that taken in account that this hair masque is expensive, I would repurchase it again, but if my budget is loooow and my wallet is crying Id rather spend my money on the other hair products  from the same line.

Review of Alterna Bambo Kendi Pure Treatment Oil

Pros:

Makes my hair softer.

Cons:

I do not feel a great difference, which I expect for this price.

More:

My hair loves oil, and likes to eat at least a spoon every second day. It is an expensive habit, but I do believe that beautiful hair can help all your other body parts. Going to the next level with your hair might drag the rest of you with it, forcing you to upgrade your beauty regime once your hair reaches Loreal commercial perfection levels… Despite having found my perfect match I still like to see what is out there, a few months ago I started a love affair with the Bamboo line and since their dry oil mist was bananas, I wanted to try the concentrated oil, the real deal so to speak.

The oil comes with a dropper, making it easy to dosage it. It smells the same as the rest of the Kendi products, which is synthetic but nice, and has a slightly runny texture. It makes my crazy big hair softer, without making it greasy. It also makes my hair shiny and yes I see a difference. The problem is just, that the difference is not big enough. Though this oil works, the bottle is tiny so if you have big hair you will use it up quick, and it only helped when my hair was “medium” dry, thus applying it after a rough week on the beach will hardly make a difference, and unfortunately my hair is very confused and constantly thinks it is on the beach..I will review more products from the Bamboo line, so stay tuned.
