Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Review

Pros:

Makes my skin flawless already after one use.

Cons:

The cost of around 1,5 dollar per capsule is pretty heavy.

More:

I have been using these capsules from Elizabeth Arden on and off for a few years, mostly after long distance flights to rehydrate my skin and sometimes on a weekday when I really feel like the day has been to boring and I need a nice goodnight. You are supposed to use them daily as a serum, which I think is pretty over the top since they cost around 1,5 dollars each – which is over my budget at least. The price can be discussed, and also the fact that a “package” contains more then needed per use, making you neck happy or just putting saving some away in a plastic bag are two uncomfortable options.

What is the result then? It is pretty much a big WOW – at least for me. I always feel that my skin looks luminous and smooth and pretty spotless when waking up after using this serum the previous night. It is very silky and feel very nice on. It is a great treat, though would not incorporate it into my daily routine since it would kill my budget.

Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating Facial Serum Review

Pros:

Makes my skin very smooth and hydrates very well.

Cons:

The price.

More:

Ever since falling in love with my first serum I have been a devotee to the serum cult. I can‘t imagine my skin care routine without it. Since I rarely stay faithful to a beauty product I like to shop around – always looking for the next fantastic product which will take my skin to the new level. Sometimes I get pissed and robbed, and sometimes I just hit jackpot. This time it was jackpot. This serum is in the high end but I still consider it reasonably priced, especially since a bottle lasts for ages. The pump bottle is hygienic, which is important for a germ scared person like myself. But most importantly this serum leaves my skin feeling very smooth and hydrated. It gives my skin what I call, the full “serum effect” – which is leaving my skin flawless. I have been working 14 days in a row now, and heavenly relied on a lot of cheeseburgers to keep my spirit up (ate one for breakfast this morning, seriously bad start to the day), and yet my skin looks like I just had a facial and 14 hours of sleep (unfortunately the dark rings give me away). Thank you dear serum couldn‘t have made these 2 weeks without you!

Emma S Sensitive Day Cream Review

Pros:

Very nourishing and light.

Cons:

Isn‘t suitable for winter when my skin is super dry.

More:

I have previously written about cool Swedish Emma S Wiklund. This face cream is part of the line for sensitive skin, and I have been using it for a few months. It is very nourishing, feels very light on my skin, gets absorbed quickly and leaves my skin very soft – as promised. I think this is a great mid price range cream, and my sensitive skin has responded well to it (aka not broken out). What I don‘t like is, that it is only suitable for the “warm” times of the year, I first tried to use this cream back in november, when my skin was very dry and it was simply not giving me enough moisture – now that spring is here, my skin is in a better place and I replaced my oils with this face cream.

Aco Rebalancing Skin Toner Review

211669s

Pros:

Very moisturising and makes my skin feel cleaner.

Cons:

I wouldnt‘t mind if it exfoliated more.

More:

This is an a toner, containing AHA and Provitamin B5, which promises to exfoliate and rehydrate your skin after you cleansed it. AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) is a group of acids that exfoliates and help skin to stay moisturised. It has been very hyped recently and is used in products against acne, dry skin and wrinkles. This is my first experience with AHA acid and I like it, despite thinking that the tonic is a bit too mild. Though I do feel a tingling sensation when using it, it could have been more fierce and daring.

I have combined skin with a tendency for blackheads and pimples around my mouth and cheek area. After I started using this toner twice a day, I have experienced less break-outs (both of pimples and blackheads). This make me eager to start using facial products containing stronger AHA concentrations. ACO is a Scandinavian skin care brand sold in pharmacies,  (don‘t we all love that pharmacy beauty a la frenchie style?) which makes me trust and like this product even more.

The best and worst beauty products of 2015 – the complete list

Happy new year lovelies, we have made a small list of what we liked and disliked this year:

Best budget product ever.

Best hair leave in treatment.

The DIY of the all.

The hair mask that changed our hair game.

The splurge of the year.

Best thing for your eyes (hey sexy cat eyes).

The oil that doesn‘t kill sensitive skin.

Best foundation to hide our pimples.

Algeas became our new favourite put-in-my-face thing, how random and awkward, but great result.

The body lotion of the body lotions that has been nourishing and loving to our winter skin.

And WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE:

Let this one stay away from your lashes.

This serum can stay where it belongs – far away from our face.

The body butter that left us wondering what the hell.

Our hands cried of anger after this one ( This one was pretty bad too though).

The splurge we regretted.

The concealer we will never repurchase.

Our lips were so mad with us after we used this one.

Thank you for a great 2015 and we are looking forward to guide you through another exciting year!
