Ole Henriksen Moment Of Truth 2-In-1 Polishing Sugar Mask Review

download (2)

Pros:

Loads of delish ingredients.

Cons:

Not an efficient scrub.

More:

This year autumn did really give my skin a proper beating (that and my newfound love of going out twice a week for some proper dancing and alcohol). So each Friday I‘m all glowy skin from my sheet masks, 8 hours sleep and veggie diet. And then afterwork and GTs come my way and by Sunday I look 10 years older (but feel 10 years lighter cause I‘ve had so much fun). So I keep on restoring my skin to then break it down. And some would say this is stupid, and I should stay home more – but I can‘t I‘m having too much fun.

So buying this mask is just another measure to restore restore and restore my skin. First of all it‘s extremely sticky, you feel like you are wearing a layer of sugar literally (but two of its ingredients are raw sugar and honey so it makes sense). It takes ages to wash off cause it feels like you are wearing a coat of syrup. This mask contains loads of yummy ingredients (pure honey, rosehip oil, pomegranate seed powder and pumpkin extract) and promises to make your skin glowy and exfoliate it. I think it does give my skin a great glow, and after using it in the evening I can definitely still tell a difference next day.

About the exfoliation – well I believe in a proper scrub, like your skin should even itch a bit after – and I simply don‘t feel that with this mask. The grains are pretty large but the thick surgery texture of the mask makes it impossible to massage it in your face – cause you just get so sticky and uncomfortable.

Conclusion – it‘s an ok mask – but I won‘t repurchase it.

Aesop Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant Review

aes03_aesop_teatreeleaffacialexfoliant_35g_sizedproduct_800x960

Pros:

Cool concept of a powder that you have to mix with a cleanser to produce a scrub.

Cons:

Way to gentle for me to see any results.

More:

This is the first thing I‘ve tried from Aesop ever – they are pretty expensive – and I think I was a bit bullied by all blogs which obsess about their minimalistic packages and good quality – to invest in this powder. The powder is a mixture of crushed botanicals which you mix with your facial wash and use as a scrub. I have never heard of this concept before, and really like it – since the powder can last forever, while creams dry in and lose their power. Verdict: I used this powder with the Aesop cleanser, it was easy to mix with it, and easy to apply. I felt a bit like a with mixing this grey herbal smelling powder in my bathroom. I mixed it in my hand and it was all clean and easy. The effect of the scrub was a bit too weak in my opinion. I really like a proper scrub, and am not afraid to use sea salt when out of options, so the gentle rubbing sensation when using this powder was just not enough for me. I could be using this daily just to wash grease off my face I think. Even though my face feels smooth after use it‘s just not enough. Conclusion: if you like gentle scrubs this could work for you otherwise save some money and use sea salt!

L:A BRUKET PETITGRAIN FACIAL SCRUB REVIEW

l-a20bruket20face20scrub20050

Pros:

Smells very nice of herbs and leaves my skin soft. Very gentle on the skin.

Cons:

Doesn‘t exfoliate my skin enough.

More:

I love scrubs, but I rarely encounter a good one, and tend to stick to my home-made coffee remedy against dead cells. Though I have never found a good home-made scrub for my face, and soo I keep looking for the perfect facial scrub..My verdict of this L:A Bruket scrub is that it simply doesn‘t scrub enough (my definition of a good scrub is when it basically makes the utter layer of my skin peel off). This scrub is very gentle, it smells great of herbs and the grains are mixed with an oily fluid. This means that your skin is left feeling super soft after scrubbing since you apply oil simultaneously as you scrub.
