Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream Review

59825_clarins_hand_and_nail_treatment_cream

Pros:

Does nothing for my dry hands.

Cons:

Gets absorbed pretty fast.

More:

In my experience stuff from Clarins can either be a total hit or a total miss . For example I can‘t see my beauty routine without their flash balm – which is genius or their body lotion – which has saved my dry skin over and over again. But this hand cream turned out to be a complete disappointment. It smells nice, it sinks in pretty fast – but seriously within 10 minutes of application my hands feel extremely dry again – which is super annoying. Basically one can re-apply this cream all day long without any real results. I won‘t repurchase this one again.

Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy Review

crabtree-evelyn-rosewater-ultramoisturising-hand-therapy-52207-930x814

Pros:

Gets absorbed very fast.

Cons:

I used up my 25 gram tube in just a week.

More:

This week we are doing a double up on hand cream reviews…why? Because spring is just ain‘t arriving and our hands are soo darn dry. If you missed out on our first review check it out here. So what is the verdict on this Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream? First and foremost one can sense the difference after the first use, which is a big plus. The cream smells pleasantly but discreetly of roses, and it gets absorbed very fast which is its biggest plus. I hate sitting around waiting for my hand cream to get absorbed since I obviously always put on too much expecting miracles. If you hands are very dry (we are talking people thinking you are a 100 year old man when they see you hands and making them confused since hands don‘t match age of face) then you might to need an extra layer of coconut oil before you put on this cream for the big effect. Extra note: I already decided that pink will be the theme of my 2017 wardrobe therefore I‘m extra happy that this tube matches the new tune of my life and brightens up the contents of my hand bag.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nantucket Briar Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy Review

Pros:

Makes my hands very soft.

Cons:

Takes a while to get absorbed.

More:

The hand creams I have purchased this winter have really disappointed me, so I was happy when the winds changed (and my hands became softer..). This cream has a very strong smell, kind off a mix of old lady and hipp Chanel perfume. I like it, but then again – I like heavier smells. What Nantucket Brier really means still remains a mystery, after googling around without any real results I vision a big bush of flowers from Nantucket as the inspiration for the fragrance for this cream (I really don‘t know what my hands smell of do I). It sinks in a bit slowly and the price is a bit over my budget, but it leaves my hands very soft which is what matters to me. It doesn‘t contain parabens, mineral oils or colour which is a big plus for my hands. This is a very luxurious hand cream and I use it instead of perfume, and get compliments for the nice smell, which is a big plus.

Mor Candied Vanilla Hand And Body Lotion

Pros:

Dries in quickly and smells delicious.

Cons:

Does not help the dries of all chicken skin.

More:

This is my first product from Australian Mor. I was instantly hocked on Mors packaging (they all look like they belong in a very fancy bathroom), and the names of their scents (Sugar Rose and Black Iris sounds just like my taste).

The scent Candied Vanilla is pretty heavy and sweet, but once you put it on your skin it settles in well and feels light on (aka you don‘t smell like a whole perfume department). I also like that it has a light texture, and is absorbed very fast into my skin. It is a very moisturising lotion both for my body and hands, but it doesn‘t make some superdry patches on my legs disappear. I like the pump function on the bottle, and that it‘s so pretty it makes my bathroom look like a real boudoir (or at least on in the making).

Estelle & Thild Bergamot Hand Cream

Pros:

The smell of bergamot.

Cons:

No effect on dry hands what so ever.

More

I know I should not complain I got this hand cream for 5 dollars at Marshalls aka I bought it superduper much cheaper then what it costs – and for that price it is an ok purchase..or? Answer is blank no. Yes the cream smells pretty nice, and is a fresh wind to the clinical or super ultra feminine smell of most hand creams with its earthy bergamot notes, but seriously it doesn‘t do any good for my hands – at all. First and foremost, I have to apply it twice before even feeling any result. Secondly it takes ages to get absorbed. And thirdly – it doesn‘t work – my hands don‘t get hydrated when I use the cream  at all.  I have tried applying it – twice, and an hour later felt how my hands were dry again. Will not repurchase this one again obviously.

Kiehl’s ultimate strength hand salve review

Pros:

Makes your hands softer after just a few days use.

Cons:

Smells like a hospital.

More:

My battle against dry winter hands continues. I associate salves with a hospital setting, and this one proved to be no different, it it very fat (like a salve you would use on a baby) but unfortunately it smells of medication. Paying so much money for something that smells so bad, is just not worth it in my eyes. Sure I can really notice a difference after a couple of days use (my hands go from super-winter dry to medium-start autumn dry) and you only need a small amount per application, but this salve takes ages to dry and the smell is just awful.

Save your money and use some coconut oil instead.

BURT’S BEES ALMOND MILK BEESWAX HAND CREME REVIEW

Pros:

Great smell of almond and nice creamy consistency.

Cons:

Makes my hand dry.

More:

I was mesmerised by this creams cute package and great smell, and decided to order it from a friend visiting the US. Just like Kiehls Burts Bees are much cheaper in the US then in Europe..The cream smells great, has a thick consistency almost like a cold butter..and this could be a positive review if not that it feels like I put on a glove of dry skin after using this cream. Not only does it takes this cream a minimum of 5 minutes to sink in, despite applied in a thin layer, but it actually makes my hand situation worse! I tried to massage it into my hands instead of simply “applying it” but saw no difference and felt very disappointed. I wondered if I was alone and checked out other reviews online and turns out other women out there cant stop raving about the greatness of this cream.  I wonder if all those reviews are sponsored or if my skin is just weird? I found one poor reviewer who was negative, and she too was questioning her own sanity after reading all those ecstatic reviews.

Despite being a 100% natural product, it contains sodium borate, which is a naturally derived compound but is restricted for use in cosmetics in many countries, one of them being Canada due to toxicity.

If anyone of you have tried this hand cream please share your experiences. This is a call for help.

Biotherm: Biomains age delaying hand & nail treatment

Pros:

Makes my hands smooth and silky.

Cons:

This is a rather average product, so the price is definitely too high. And it takes at least 10 minutes to sink in.

More:

This hand cream gives your hands a nice and silky feel. I usually put it on before bedtime and wake up with soft hands. Since I was my hands a lot during the day Im very grateful it helps so quick on my dry hands.

It has a very discreet “creamy” smell (something like Nivea but more expensive) which is a plus. But there is nothing outstanding or extraordinary with this hand cream which justifies paying 30 dollars for it. There are many cheaper and just as good alternatives out there.

Its impossible to say if it makes my 26 year old hands look younger, but an interesting point is that when my mum tried it, she didn’t feel it was moisturising enough for her older hands.
