ALTERNA CAVIAR INFINITE COLOR HOLD SHAMPOO REVIEW

Pros:

Environmentally friendly (no parabens, sulfates, paraffin, mineral oil…the list can go on and on …)

Cons:

No real effect on making my hair less greasy.

More:

The Caviar line from Alterna is my go-to favourite. Though the price is crazy, I like the quality and most of all that their products are free of all the stuff that makes our environment and us sick (petrolium, parabens, mineral oil, parabens…)

This shampoo is supposed give loads of moisture to ones hair – having greasy hair – I hoped that the moisture would lead to my hair producing less of its own grease – which didn‘t happen. Also it promises to make the color “nicer” aka more “glossy” – which didn‘t happen either. So I‘m pretty disappointed – though I still love my other Caviar products (for my favourites see this and this review). But this one will not be re-purchased.

Review of Alterna Caviar Anti-aging Bodybuilding Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

Pros:

Gives as fantastic volume (which lasts a couple of days..)

Cons:

The price.

I have naturally big hair, so volume has never been a problem, still I want a more “polished volume” look. Volume that looks like Im in control, not like a just woke up, which is why I tried this shampoo and conditioner.

First and foremost, they are free of pharabens, sulfates and phtaletes (but their list of ingredients is still pretty looong). After use my hair really gained a more controlled volume, and it stays that way til I was my hair next time, which is five days later. I use it with my new best friend, to give my split ends some love. Also you need very little per use.

Since I want to give you, dear readers, a fair review I forced this shampoo and conditioner upon my mum, who has short and pretty flat hair- just to test how her hair would react. Her verdict is that you can see extra volume added, though for her it only lasts a few days, and that her hair feels more “take care off”…BUT she got a dry scalp after using this combo the first time.

Overall: if you want to treat your hair to some volume, buy this expensive combo, otherwise stay tuned for more reviews of hair products coming up (or come back to my blog next week and there will be a small hair surprise for a lucky reader..)

Review of Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray

Pros:

Really helps my split and dry ends.

Cons:

The effect wears off after 2-3 days (I only wash my hair every fifth day).

My split and dry hair ends are a constant problem. Even a week after cutting my hair I can feel how they become dry and tired again. Usually I fight this problem with a lot of oil , thus this was my first every leave-in conditioner. I was not left disappointed, using a generous amount on my split ends after washing my hair I really noticed a big difference, my hair feeling much softer and having a healthier look.. Despite over-applying this cream a few times (in moments of desperation) my hair never felt oily, and though the effect wore off after a couple of days, and I still had to supplement with some oil I really like this conditioner. A minus is its synthetic smell.
