Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Ultra-Volume Mascara Review

518juD5bEcL._SY355_

Pros:

Elongates my lashes.

Cons:

No volume what so ever.

More:

I got this mascara as a gift from a relative. I must admit I haven‘t used much from Yves Rocher – I have their Monei perfume for sentimental reasons (reminds me on my granny and the summers of my childhood) but haven‘t used much else. This mascara certainly doesn‘t make me more interested in the brand. It makes my lashes longer – but that‘s about it. No filling effect, no volume no nothing – seriously I‘ve used it for about 3 months now, and I just feel so sorry for my poor eye lashes. The look so gloom and my eyes boring – not at all like in a good make-up commercial. Today I took a “big” step for my make-up self – I through that mascara out, and got myself a new one. And that felt such great.

Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara Review

eng_pl_max-factor-masterpiece-max-mascara-black-876_1

Pros:

Doesn‘t lump.

Cons:

Hard to apply on lower lashes because they just get too much mascara due to the brushes size.

More:

This is my all time favourite mascara. I have been using it for 6 months now – and yes I know, you are supposed to not use your make-up for too long due to bacteria etcetc, but I‘m soo impressed  that it hasn‘t dried out/lumped/given me panda eyes – that I‘m gone use it until there is none left. The brush is made of rubber and you get exactly the amount that you (I) need per use, and really gives some mascara love to each one of my eyelashes. My lashes are pretty long and usually when I use mascaras it usually smudges off on my eyelids and this one doesn‘t. Also after a long day I don‘t have it all over my cheeks. In my opinion this is the bust budget mascara out on the market right now, period.

Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara Review

Pros:

Doesn‘t smudge.

Cons:

Not always giving me the “I have a thousand more lashes then I actually do” – look.

More:

Usually I just grab the mascara that is on sale and pray for the best. This time I wanted to try a newcomer just to see if maybe maybe maybe it would not smudge and give me my classical panda look (a look I cherish and often carry with pride when I bike home, after long hours in front of the computer). This mascara actually doesn‘t smudge, it gives my eye lashes a nice and “full” look, and depending on which direction you chose to use the brush you can actually make your lashes look different of the “volume – scale”, which is nice when you want to tone it down a bit. I could review this mascara on and on from different practical point of views, but I want to tell you this little story instead: I was on a weekend trip to Berlin with my girlfriends recently, and mentioned I was trying out my new mascara not yet sure what to make of it, and encouraged my friends to try it too. The next morning my girlfriend comes back to me – she has now made the ultimate test of this mascara – by sleeping in it, it didn‘t smudge and therefore she approved of it. I though that was hilarious. End of review.

The Body Shop Divide And Multiply Mascara Review

49641_2_l

Pros:

Doesn‘t smudge.

Cons:

Makes small lumps, which looks very unnatural.

More:

The Body Shop usually have a pretty good quality of their stuff, and since I was looking for a new mascara I thought I should give their make-up a go, which I regret now..The brush is made of rubber, which makes it easy apply the mascara even in the corners of my eyes. But when you start layering the mascara (looking for that va-va-voom effect one can not be fine with just one layer of mascara), it starts to lump my lashes and even when I use and extra brush my eyelashes, the mascara makes small lumps. Basically this is the worst mascara I have ever used, because it looks sooo unnatural. The mascara is to thick in its consistency which leads to the lumping. You may think that this can be because it‘s too old, but I bought it 2 months ago. It doesn‘t smudge though. Seriously promising that it will divide anything is a joke targeting my poor vallet.

Our Spring Beauty List

floral-crown-karlie-kloss1

Spring is here, we are happy and indulging in everything that this hopeful season is bringing at us: a bit of sun, a bit of rain, loads of good coffee, yoga and cake in all forms and flavours..We are also, of course treating our faces and bodies to some love, and wanted to share our spring favourites with you:

We want to permanently smell of lily during these three months and this body lotion smells amazing.

We use our favourite organic version of the Eight Hours Cream made from Sweden with love.

We make sure everything we own smells of lavender by making this spray in our kitchen…

….we also make our own scrub from everything our cupboard has to offer.

We go natural and stay away from all the bad mascaras out there.

We fake a tan relentlessly (and forget we wanted to “look natural”).

And of course we can‘t help but splurging on some French beauty must-haves.

Happy spring dear readers:)

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara Review

Pros:

Makes my lashes longer.

Cons:

Does not add any extra volume.

More:

My lashes are nothing special, neither long nor short, so when picking a mascara I look for that “wow” factor. The add for this mascara promises both “wow”, “aahh”, “uuuuuhhh” and “oh la la”, all from just one mascara, or at least that is the impression I get when reading words such as “magnify”, “multify”, “outrageous volume” and “more seductive” – all used to describe the transformation ones lashes will go through once this magic mascara comes on. And seriously do you guys think I saw any of that? No, you are right I did not.

Yes my lashes become longer, but they dont gain any volume what so ever, and just look like long spider feet. The mascara is very discreet and looks good on you, if you want it to look like you are not wearing any. But that is about all. It does not smudge and is easy to take off, but what does that help, when you barely can see that you are wearing it?

The best and worst beauty products of 2015 – the complete list

Happy new year lovelies, we have made a small list of what we liked and disliked this year:

Best budget product ever.

Best hair leave in treatment.

The DIY of the all.

The hair mask that changed our hair game.

The splurge of the year.

Best thing for your eyes (hey sexy cat eyes).

The oil that doesn‘t kill sensitive skin.

Best foundation to hide our pimples.

Algeas became our new favourite put-in-my-face thing, how random and awkward, but great result.

The body lotion of the body lotions that has been nourishing and loving to our winter skin.

And WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE:

Let this one stay away from your lashes.

This serum can stay where it belongs – far away from our face.

The body butter that left us wondering what the hell.

Our hands cried of anger after this one ( This one was pretty bad too though).

The splurge we regretted.

The concealer we will never repurchase.

Our lips were so mad with us after we used this one.

Thank you for a great 2015 and we are looking forward to guide you through another exciting year!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara Review

Pros:

Being waterproof the Beneficial “Theyre Real” mascara does not smudge as easily.

Cons:

Does not give my lashes a natural look.

More:

I usually buy a cheap mascara brand from the pharmacy store, so I though I would treat my lashes to something that would be more “beneficial”, so I went to Sephora and asked them for a mascara that not only volumes your lashes but benefits your lashes. So they recommended the brand Benefits ha! I though to try it, since it was really supposed to change the volume of my lashes and be healthy.

I tried it and I dont really like it. It clumps my lashes together, dries them out and its hard to get off. Im constantly picking out clumps from my lashes and I think that Im getting gray lashes from it. So now Im going back to my cheap mascara, this just doesn’t give me a natural look.

Review of Wonder Perfect Mascara

Pros:

Gives you are very natural look.

Cons:

It also gives you the panda look.

More:

Just like every mascara, this one promises your eyes the world and a bit more. I’m so happy I don’t work with advertising, I think it must be a nightmare coming up with new catchy phrases for make-up ads, because honestly – haven’t we seen it all? Isn’t it impossible to surprise us by now? They are all the same: always a new formula, and it will always change you forever, and maybe even give you a model boyfriend in Paris…

This mascara doesn’t disappoint in the promising section: the Clarins website description of this mascara promises visibly fuller, longer, curled and intensely coloured lashes after just one application.

Well: yes my lashes become longer, more intensely black, they curl nicely BUT no volume is added whatsoever. My poor lashes look like long spiders feet, but they look soo thin, and since their colour is intensified they look like very black spider feet. Of course this is no disaster, many mascaras don’t keep their promises, but this one does a deadly mascara sin: it smudges. Basically it dries very fast, no problem there, but as soon as you touch your eyes or god forbid, get some wind in your face, you look like a panda. I hate that, it’s unacceptable, and therefore this mascara only gets 2 stars. Also it takes ages to get off. But it doesn’t clump.
